Norwood Career Advisors offers a comprehensive five-part job search program, suitable for both the employed and the unemployed. It covers: - The Discovery or Self-Assessment Phase. Where have you been, where are you now, and where would you like to go in terms of goals and objectives. What are your interests, your skills, the unique qualities that differentiate you from your competition?
- The Resume, cover letter, and other written presentation materials. Target, focus, and consistency of message are key issues.
- Networking through multiple avenues, including friends, past and present business associates, trade associations, and the Internet. We show you how to get in front of hiring managers and key decision makers.
- The Telephone and Face-to-face Interviews and other oral presentations, such as the 20-second elevator speech and leaving voicemails. We videotape your mock interview, so you can see the strengths and weaknesses of your presentation.
- Planning & Implementation to set goals and measure progress. We set you out with a strategy, a plan and a targeted list of companies to start with.
The Program is structured in two parts: - Six individual sessions with one or more consultants, based on similarities in industry experience or complementary skill sets. These are one-on-one, face-to-face, and confidential, of course.
- Six months of telephone and e-mail follow up. We’re there to serve as your sounding board and to provide pre- and post-interview coaching. If your situation changes, we’ll help you decide if you should stay the course or change direction.
